Advising on web engineering and media technology at Malmö University

Today I returned to Malmö University to take part in the industry advisory board for the Media Technology: Web Based Design and Development program at the Faculty of Technology and Society.

Malmö University holds a special place for me personally, not only from my own university studies, but because my mother spent many years here as a teacher and director of studies. Walking back into the Niagara building to help bridge academic curricula with real-world software engineering needs felt like coming full circle.

A big thank you to Erik Pineiro and Pija Sundin for leading the program’s continuous evolution, and to the student representatives (Lo Dacke, Elliot C, and Filip R) who brought sharp questions and honest perspectives on what students need most when transitioning into the tech industry.

And on a lighter note: has anyone else noticed that the Niagara building at Malmö University looks remarkably like an oversized CPU cooling tower?
